Donald J. FarrellPublisher
A twenty-six year veteran of the publishing and oilheat industries, Don has long been one of the industry's strongest and most active advocates. When oilfired new home sales declined, he mobilized the industry and created "Build with Oil", the industry's only outreach program targeting homebuilders. When it became clear that the oilheating equipment manufacturers needed to organize in order to protect their market, he led the creation of the Oilheat Manufacturers Association. He has served, and currently serves, as its Chairman, Communications Committee Chairman, Membership Chairman and Executive Board Member. Under his leadership, Oilheating Journal became a major factor in the passage of the National Oilheat Research Alliance (NORA). Oilheating Journal became the "unofficial" voice of NORA to the oilheating industry and Oilheating Journal's subscription list was used in creating the "official" NORA industry member list. He now serves on the NORA Board of Directors. Don was selected to be a participant in creating the oilheat industry's twenty-year roadmap sponsored by the Department of Energy.
